The National Agency for Food, Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC, on Wednesday sealed an illegal herbal medicine production facility, one bakery, and five sachet water factories in Kaduna. The affected facilities include Aji Garau Herbal Medicine Store, Karkarku Table Water, 1165 Table Water, Zaiba Table Water, Maisalati Table Water, Rumaisa Table Water, and Al-Ihsan Bread.

The Police Command in Niger State, says it has detained for prosecution a dismissed soldier for alleged impersonation, fraudulent act. This is contained in a statement by the command’s Public Relations officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun on Tuesday in Minna. According to him, on May 27, at about 2:30pm, a case of criminal breach of trust, fraud and theft was referred for Police investigation from a magistrate court to Tudun-Wada Police Division. He said the matter was reported by three victims.

A High Court sitting in Ado-EKiti on Monday sentenced one Jayeoba Oluwafemi, 56, to life imprison for defiling his 14-year-old stepdaughter. The 56 year old convict was arraigned before Justice Adekunle Adeleye on Dec. 4, 2020 on one count charge of defilement. The charge said the defendant on October 26, 2020 at Ado Ekiti defiled the 14 years old girl (names withheld), which is contrary to Section 31 (2) of the Child’s Right Law, Cap. C7, Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.

The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa, has inaugurated the Ministerial Committee on Technical Assessment, Completion Planning, and Disposal Strategy for the 753 units housing estate recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Dangiwa while inaugurating the committee, on Monday in Abuja, said the estate was recently recovered and handed over to the ministry by the EFCC.

A total of 49 suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital. The Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, made this known in a statement on Monday. They suspects were arrested between Saturday, May 24, 2025 and Sunday, May 25, 2025, following actionable intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.
