    SERIAN: Four sections of the Pan Borneo Highway are affected by floods following continuous heavy rain across several districts in Sarawak. Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the most critical area is the P-turn near Kampung Ranchan here, where floodwaters from a nearby river have inundated both directions of the highway from KM187 to KM187.7.Other affected sections include Selangau, the Bakun intersection at KM818.4, and Pujut near Eastwood Golf & Country Club (KM938-KM940).

    SERIAN: Two flooded sections of the Pan Borneo Highway between Kampung Ranchan and Kampung Hulu here have caused heavy traffic congestion. Continuous rainfall over the past three days has led to rising floodwaters from Sungai Sadong, affecting several nearby villages. A Sarawak Tribune survey at the scene found traffic backed up for approximately three kilometers. Despite the rain, Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officers were seen managing the traffic flow.

    SERIAN: A total of 1,264 flood victims from 17 families have been evacuated to Temporary Evacuation Centres (PPS) in the division following continuous heavy rainfall over the past few days. Bukit Semuja assemblyman John Ilus reported that the PPS at Dewan Masyarakat Serian alone is sheltering 209 victims from 60 households.

    SERIAN: A total of 77 evacuees from 22 families at the Temporary Evacuation Centre (PPS) in SK Tebakang were left without electricity for more than 24 hours after flooding disrupted the area’s power supply system. Community Development Assistant Malini Kimpian explained that the outage occurred when rising floodwaters submerged all electricity poles in Tebakang, prompting Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) to shut down the safety switch yesterday (Jan 29) at midday.
