On August 10th, the community around Shiloh Baptist Church came alive with the spirit of giving as Doing Better than Excellence (DBE), led by Duane B. Evans Jr., marked the 10th anniversary of its “Fill the Truck” event. This year’s celebration, together with the church’s back-to-school activities, highlighted a decade of significant community impact and personal commitment. Significant challenges from a young age have marked Duane B. Evans Jr.’s life.

People with developmental disabilities often have to wait years for dental care. A sedation clinic in Cleveland is helping to remedy that problem. MetroHealth and the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Cuyahoga DD) have joined forces to bring a Dental Sedation Clinic to the community. This initiative addresses critical barriers to dental care for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring they receive the timely and compassionate care they need.

It’s Not a Moment, It’s a Movement (INAMIAM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to community empowerment, has recently secured a significant development in its ongoing mission.
