Since 1994, long-time bandmates Lowery, Lajon Witherspoon, Morgan Rose, John Connolly, and Vinnie Hornsby have recorded 14 studio albums, sold millions of records, and been nominated for a Grammy Award. The band recently finished touring with Disturbed and Three Days Grace.

On Monday, March 31, federal Judge William Campbell denied all but one of Johnny Hunt’s defamation claims against Guidepost Solutions and the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Judge Campbell’s order read:Pending before the Court are Defendants’ motions for summary judgment (Doc. Nos. 216, 222, 229), which are fully briefed. For the reasons stated in the forthcoming Memorandum, the motions for summary judgment are GRANTED IN PART as follows: Guidepost’s motion is GRANTED as to all claims.

The highly-anticipated sequel to Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ” is scheduled to begin shooting this summer. According to Variety, Cinecittà Studios CEO Manuela Cacciamani recently told the Italian financial newspaper, Il Sole 24 Ore, that Gibson will begin filming “The Resurrection of the Christ” in August of this year. Cacciamani said that Gibson and Icon Productions will be using Cinecittà Studios’ new Studio 22, which is located in Rome, for its main filming location.

During an episode of “The MacArthur Center Podcast” released on March 4, John MacArthur shared that his kidneys are failing. Titled “The Grace of Technology,” the podcast episode focused on how MacArthur, in both his ministry and health, has benefited from advancements in technology. MacArthur celebrated 56 years as Grace Community Church’s (GCC) pastor-teacher in February, but due to his health, he was unable to preach more than half of 2024 and all of 2025 so far.
