    The Indian Navy plans to procure extra-large unmanned underwater vehicles (XLUUVs) to strengthen its maritime domain awareness (MDA) and combat capabilities. The Indian Navy issued an expression of interest (EOI) in late 2024, seeking industry partners for the development of 12 XLUUVs that can be used to support anti-submarine warfare (ASW); mine-countermeasures (MCM); and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations.

    South Korea plans to initiate a project to upgrade surveillance technologies along its border with North Korea. South Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) announced on 3 January that the future project will use the technologies implemented under a recently completed ‚Äúminor performance improvement project‚ÄĚ, which enhanced the surveillance equipment in some forward areas.

ROKS Jeongjo The Great (pennant number 995) was commissioned on 27 November at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries' (HD HHI's) shipyard in Ulsan following more than two years of trials.
