    ABUJA- The Minister of State for Youth Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande, has appealed to Nigerian youths to be patient, saying “Rome was not built in a day”.     ABUJA- The Chinese Embassy On Friday in Abuja celebrated the 75th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China’s founding on Friday. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the celebration marked a significant moment in China’s history following the Chinese Civil War. It also marked victory of Mao Zedong’s Communist forces over the Kuomintang forces of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, Mao Zedong proclaimed the founding of PRC on 1 Oct. 1, 1949.

    ABUJA- Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has described the death of Pastor Patience Eno, the wife of the Akwa-Ibom governor, as devastating. Abubakar, in a statement by his media aide, Paul Ibe, described late  Eno, who died on Friday, as a remarkable woman who gave her best in the service of humanity and her family. He sympathised with the family of Gov. Umo Eno, the government and people of Akwa-Ibom over her demise.

    ABUJA- The Federal Government, on Friday, re-arraigned 10 persons arrested in connection with #EndBadGovernance protest organised between Aug. 1 and Aug  10 on alleged treasonable felony. The Federal Government, through the Inspector-General (I-G) of Police, re-arraigned them on eight-count amended charge following an application by the prosecution counsel, Simon Lough, SAN, before Justice Emeka Nwite of a Federal High Court in Abuja.
