The 26-year-old anonymous woman complained to doctors of severe pelvic pain and abdominal swelling, according to a case study published on May 10, 2024, in the Open Journal of Clinical & Medical Case Reports.

One week after a man allegedly murdered a mother with his SUV in an act of revenge, police found him dead in his Madison, Wisconsin, jail cell. Deputies at Dane County Jail discovered Jeffrey Endres, 49, unresponsive on Tuesday morning, according to WKOW-TV in Madison. Medical staff and paramedics were unable to revive Endres, and it is unclear what caused him to die, as police are still investigating.

Police have charged a pastor with theft and embezzlement after he allegedly stole more than $100,000 from his church in the town of Bel Air, Maryland. Daniel Champ, a pastor at First Baptist Church, reportedly used the money for sports betting, DoorDash, and PayPal, WJZ-TV in Baltimore reported April 30. The pastor ultimately spent more than $135,000 of the church’s money for his personal use.

Police arrested a Long Island man on Tuesday after firefighters found 28 dead cats at his home in Bohemia, a hamlet in New York. Stephen Glantz, 75, had another 61 cats and eight kittens still living in his home at the time of the discovery, according to News 12 Networks in Long Island. Glantz faces nine counts of cruelty to animals and another nine counts of neglecting an impounded animal, according to New York court documents.

A Florida woman died Tuesday afternoon when an alligator flipped her canoe and attacked her in Lake Kissimmee, which is south of Orlando and East of Tampa. Cynthia Diekema, 61, sat at the bow of the 14-foot canoe as she and her husband paddled the shallow depths near the mouth of Tiger Creek, according to The Lakeland Ledger. The couple passed over an alligator in 2.5 feet of water, and the reptile began thrashing and flipped the couple’s boat over.

A Tennessee court on Wednesday acquitted all state charges against the three policemen involved in the 2023 deadly beating of Tyre Nichols. Former officers Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, and Justin Smith were found not guilty of second-degree murder and all other state charges related to the death of Nichols, NBC News reported Wednesday. After a nine-day trial in Memphis, it took jurors more than eight hours to reach a conclusion on Wednesday, according to Fox News.

Admiral Sir Ben Key, first sea lord of the Royal Navy, was ordered to step back from his role while the investigation was underway, the U.K.’s The Times reported Friday. Key, a 59-year-old husband and a father of three, was appointed to the top position in 2021, but he has served in the fleet for 40 years.

Drone footage showed the tense moment a 7-year-old boy pointed a pistol at police in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office just released the footage Thursday, but the standoff unfolded on Feb. 16, according to KOB in Albuquerque.
