War changes everything. It's impossible to adapt to it. Obviously, one can try to learn to live in a state of war, to stop being afraid, even while knowing that the next missile or deadly drone might hit your home or your loved ones' homes at any time. However, it is impossible to accept this. Since Feb. 24, 2022, we have been running a marathon for survival. And while two years ago there was still some hope in our hearts that this nightmare would end sooner or later, that belief has begun to weaken.

THE WAR YEAR OF THE KHARKIV IT CLUSTER ECOSYSTEMOn December 22, the Kharkiv IT Cluster held a General Meeting in the already traditional format, simultaneously meeting offline in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Lviv and online. The team and members of the Kharkiv IT Cluster summed up the results of 2022 and planned activities for 2023. At the beginning of 2022, the biggest problem of the IT business was the shortage of IT specialists in the Ukrainian IT Industry which was growing +25-30% during the last 5 years.

The Kharkiv and Lviv IT Clusters, in coordination with other industry clusters and associations, prepared proposals for the Cabinet of Ministers resolution on the procedure for reserving men of the conscription age. A letter with proposals was sent to the Ministers of Economy, Defense, and Digital Transformation, as well as to the Head of the President’s Office.
