I’ve been an insomniac for as long as I can remember, so my desert island beauty product has always been an under-eye concealer. Despite my chronic dark circles, eye creams are admittedly a blind spot in my skin care routine, but that’s only because I’m a skeptic. I’ve tried buzzy formulas over the years that didn’t do much beyond hydrating the skin (and I have plenty of face moisturizers for that). So, color corrector and high-pigment cover-up have been the name of my game—until now.

Credit: Real Simple I’ve lived in my pre-war NYC apartment for almost three years now, and although I’ve come to appreciate its quirks, I’m finally ready to give it a serious makeover. My first order of business is my living room, since I often host friends and family, and, thankfully, its white walls and wood floors grant me a blank canvas for lots of redecorating. I recently added one of Joanna Gaines’ on-sale area rugs to create a chic and inviting foundation.
