I’ve written about angel numbers a few times now. If you’ve followed my writing at all, you will know that I am skeptical but also intrigued and find it quite compelling that certain angel numbers keep showing up in my life. Repeating 111’s hold spiritual significance. I also find it quite interesting that, while angel numbers are a fairly new construction, numerology and numbers holding spiritual significance is a long-standing tradition.

I’ve left. Finally. Not just the house, or the relationship, or the state of emergency, I kept calling “love.”I’ve left the chaos. The circular arguments. The moments when we both became unrecognizable. I’ve left the man I once thought I’d rebuild everything with — the one I moved for, started over with, built altars and dreams beside. I’ve left the passion. The destruction. The beautiful and the brutal, braided together so tightly I couldn’t tell which was which anymore. This wasn’t easy.

Mornings I wake with your name braidedinto the curve of my spine —I’ve become energetically entangledwith you, and my soul hurts knowingI’ve added to your pain, your anxiety sovisceral you feel it shrinking your spine. We’ve been healing and yet we rememberthe darkness, our growth is crooked andfreshly marred by this new fight. Old wounds and old fears have resurfaced;our love itself like a wound dressed in lace, our mouths cradling crueltyand calling it honey.

I’m here holding space. Sharing what I know that helps people heal. Yes, tinctures and medicines and foods, but also thoughts, community, learning accountability and finding that sweet spot between discomfort and forward movement.
