Looking to enter the Shivering Isles in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered? The Shivering Isles is a smaller secondary map which is connected to the main map, Cyrodiil, via a Strange Door. The Shivering Isles, originally the main expansion DLC of Oblivion, has been built directly into the game for the remake, allowing you to enter it more or less immediately after you complete the tutorial.

There are various ways you can contract the Vampirism disease, known as Porphyric Hemophilia, in Oblivion Remastered. A simple scratch while fighting a Vampire is enough to do it. You can also acquire Vampirism through the Dark Brotherhood questline, or by eating the Beating Heart in the Daedric quest, "Unearthing Mehrunes Razor".

Prime among them is a dramatic increase in several important skills and attributes, making many encounters much easier than they would otherwise. Plus, you're a Vampire. And that's just cool.

Lots of good newsies this week from Triple-I, weren't there? Catching up on it all after the fact, I was making lots of appreciative rumbles. Makes me wanna, I don't know, play games or somesuch.
