    Shrewsbury's Michael Appleton has opened up on his cancer battle as he returns to Lincoln this weekend - the club he was in charge of during his illness.  The 49-year-old was diagnosed with testicular cancer back in 2021 during his time with the Imps - and he had to go under the knife to have a tumour removed. Appleton took charge of 143 games at the LNER Stadium and guided his side to Wembley where they lost 2-1 to Blackpool in the play-off final.
