The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the 2025/2026 league season will mark the official launch of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology in Ghanaian football. This decision follows recent training sessions and consultations held with FIFA’s Competition and Training Department, which has been working with officials in Ghana over the past few days to provide hands-on training on VAR operations.

Victor Osimhen scored a brace for Galatasaray in their thrilling 3-2 win over Samsunspor at the RAMS park on Sunday. Osimhen nodded home superbly from Lucas Torreira’s cross after three minutes.
