A more robust synergy among the various security agencies in Nigeria has been advocated as credible platform needed to strengthen security in the Niger Delta region of the country. Participants at a one-day summit over the weekend in akure, the ondo state capital reaffirmed previous position reached in similar gatherings in the past which seeks to find ways of strengthening security in the region.

The youth wing of the pan Yoruba socio-cultural Group, Afenifere has called on the acting national Leader of the group, Pa Ayo Adebanjo to step down in the interest of peace. The group known as the Yoruba Afenifere youth organization of Nigeria gave the order on Tuesday during a protest to the country home of the National leader of the Group, Pa Reuben Fasoranti in Akure, Ondo state.
