Os eventos de 7 de outubro foram chocantes, não apenas para a comunidade global, mas também para os civis palestinos. Ao longo da História, a grande maioria do povo palestino deplorou o sequestro, assassinato e tortura de seres humanos. Durante meses de guerra, civis em toda a Faixa de Gaza marcharam nas ruas, pedindo a libertação dos reféns e um cessar-fogo imediato. Desde então, as atrocidades e a reação do exército israelense contra Gaza só aprofundaram o ódio e a sede de vingança.

On May 17, 2024, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) began operating a temporary floating pier off the coast of Gaza. The pier’s construction was purportedly part of a rapid international response to ensure larger flows of humanitarian and relief aid into Gaza amid Israel’s ongoing genocide and escalating warnings of wide-spreading famine and food insecurity for two million Palestinians.
