FedEx Supply Chain’s operations in Lebanon rank as the sixth-largest employer in Wilson County. FedEx Corp. plans to lay off a significant portion of its workforce in Lebanon. The Memphis-based company filed a WARN (worker adjustment and retraining notification) notice with the state on March 31 about the upcoming layoffs. FedEx Supply Chain’s Lebanon facility at 6850 Eastgate Blvd. is listed as the site of the layoffs, with 217 employees impacted.

The company announced last year its plans to move its HQ to Crosstown Concourse. One of Memphis’ largest private companies is set to have a new CEO beginning in April. Monogram Foods named Jeff Frank, who is currently CEO of Wisconsin-based Organic Valley, as the company’s next CEO. He begins his tenure on April 28 and is set to be based in Memphis. He succeeds Monogram co-founder and current CEO Karl Schledwitz, who has been in the role since 2004.

The institution has closed on about $24.6 million in fundraising for the renovation, with 34 total gifts. It has also secured another $7.8 million in verbal commitments. The University of Memphis continues to move forward on its $220 million renovation of Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. Construction company Barton Malow Builders recently filed a $4 million permit for construction of a new west tower at Liberty Stadium.
