Samsung Electronics has obtained ‘Real Quantum Dot Display’ certification from TÜV Rheinland for its latest QLED TV lineup. The certification validates compliance with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 62595-1-6 standard, which establishes requirements for quantum dot light converting units combined with blue light sources in QLED displays. Quantum dots are nanomaterials significantly smaller than human hair that can reproduce precise colors based on light wavelength.
