1. IntroductionOvarian cancer is a difficult disease to manage due to its aggressive nature and high recurrence rates. Despite advancements in diagnosis and treatment, it remains a leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women in the United States. This gynecologic cancer originates in the ovaries and is often diagnosed at an advanced stage. In 2021, around 22,000 women were estimated to be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the United States, resulting in over 13,000 deaths.
