For the last 27 years, members from the police department, borough council, public works, crossing guards, and local school representatives have worked like a team of Santa’s elves to spread holiday cheer to residents with the help of local businesses.

NORRISTOWN >> Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Mark Huzzard was promoted to the rank of lieutenant at a special ceremony attended by his family and friends at the Montgomery County Courthouse. Huzzard is a 24-year veteran of the sheriff’s office who also serves as the office’s treatment and veterans courts liaison.

BRIDGEPORT >> Borough Council approved the promotions of two officers who were sworn in as sergeants by Mayor Beth Jacksier at the Bridgeport Council meeting on October 24. Sergeant William ‘Bill’ Murphy, 36 is  a 15-year veteran of the force who grew up in Eagleville and graduated from Methacton High School. “His commitment to service extends beyond law enforcement, to his position as a Battalion Fire Chief with the Lower Providence Fire Department,” explained Chief Todd Bereda. Norristown – The 6th Annual Sheriff’s Scholarship Golf Outing, held at the picturesque Blue Bell Country Club Tuesday, went off without a hitch despite a misting rain that fell on the course most of the day. The outing generated record contributions of more than $60,000 to the Sheriff’s Scholarship Fund, which was created in 2017 by Montgomery County Sheriff Sean Kilkenny to help sheriff’s office employees and their families reach their educational goals fund.
