    Oscar Pistorius, exatleta paralímpico sudafricano, ha sido puesto en libertad condicional casi 11 años después de asesinar a su novia, Reeva Steenkamp, según han confirmado las autoridades sudafricanas. El exatleta mató a su pareja por aquel entonces cuando tenía 29 años, disparando hasta en cuatro ocasiones a través de la puerta del baño de su casa en Pretoria cuando ella estaba dentro. Todo sucedió el día de San Valentín de 2013.

    JOHANNESBURG - Convicted murderer Oscar Pistorius is set to be released from prison on Friday. The disgraced paralympian shot and killed his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp through a locked bathroom door on Valentine’s Day in 2013. He was initially found guilty of culpable homicide and sentenced to five years in prison, but the conviction was subsequently changed to murder and his sentence, increased to 13 years and five months.

    JOHANNESBURG - It’s D-Day for Oscar Pistorius, with the correctional supervision and parole board set to convene again on Friday to consider him for early release. Pistorius is currently serving a sentence of 13 years and 5 months for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentines Day 2013. He applied for parole in March but was refused following a communique from the Supreme Court of Appeal, which sentenced him, to the effect that he wasn’t yet eligible.

    JOHANNESBURG - The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) parole board plans to convene a hearing to consider Oscar Pistorius for early release before the end of November. Pistorius’s lawyer, Conrad Dormehl, told Eyewitness News that they received a letter to this effect from the board on Wednesday.

    Keshet International (KI), the global content producer and distributor, has closed two key deals for the 3x60’ true crime documentary series My Name is Reeva: I Was Murdered by Oscar Pistorius – around the tenth anniversary of her death and Oscar Pistorius’ return to court to request early parole. In the UK, KI has licensed the linear and SVOD rights for this three-part docuseries, described as “an emotionally charged tribute to Reeva” by SA’s Sunday Independent, to Channel 4.
