The City of Chelan was awarded $28,699 by the Washington State Archives to use towards improving digital imaging at the city - one of several municipalities and county governments to receive funding. The Washington State Archives, a division of the Secretary of State's Office, awarded 27 grants, a total $506,000, to government agencies across the state including the city of Chelan and Mansfield, according to a secretary of state news release.
