Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Z-Morh Tunnel here in Central Kashmir PM Modi,  said, “Kashmir is the crown of India, and I want this crown to become even more beautiful, ” PM Modi said. He said that the Z-Morh Tunnel, constructed at a cost of Rs 2,700 crore, will prove to be a game changer.

    The New Year—2025 has begun with the deficit precipitation as Jammu and Kashmir has recorded a deficiency of 59 per cent in the first week of January. According to the details available, from January 01 to January 08, J&K has recorded a deficit rainfall of 59 per cent despite the recent snowfall in most parts of the Valley. Against the normal rainfall of 18.4 mm, J&K has recorded a precipitation of 7.6 mm.

    The cabinet minister in the first elected government in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Satish Sharma on Saturday said that they don’t want something like Delhi and Kejriwal here in Jammu and Kashmir.     After the two-day improvement, the Valley’s higher reaches including the famous ski-resort—Gulmarg have once again witnessed a fresh snowfall, bringing down the mercury further across Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. The details gathered reveals that the snowfall was witnessed at multiple places today including Gulmarg phase-2, upper areas of Kupwara, Zojila and Razdan Top. It was learnt that Razdan Top recorded a snowfall of three inches till this evening.

    After an end to the prolonged dry spell in Jammu and Kashmir parts, the weatherman here has predicted a three-day wet spell from today, saying that the light rains and snowfall is expected for the next three days. The higher reaches of Kashmir including Sadhna Top, Razdan Pass, Sinthan Top, Gulmarg phase-II and others received fresh snowfall while rains lashed plains on Monday, ending the 50-day long dry spell in Jammu and Kashmir.
