    Streaming services are like cable where you would pay for all these channels that you don’t ever watch, but certain programs and channels you do want to watch you have to pay more for. Why am I paying for Netflix, Max and Hulu and still getting ads when I watch something? Prices are going up, advertisements are coming in and the amount of content and different streaming platforms are rising.

    I am paying thousands of dollars to attend classes at Chico State. So when I choose to skip a class, why should it affect my grade if I am the one paying for it? Most instructors now allow you a certain amount of absences without an explanation needed before it begins to affect grades. It can range from two to five classes, while for some instructors attendance is mandatory. I understand professors wanting their students to actually come to class and learn.

    Downtown Chico’s roads are horribly laid out and make driving downtown stressful and dangerous. There are four-way intersections where there are only yield signs for two of the ways, there will be a stop sign at one intersection then not on the next and one-way streets are everywhere. I had never seen a yield sign at a four-way intersection before I came to Chico. When I started driving in Chico I hated it. I still do, just a little less now.

    Chico State needs to fix its parking situation. I don’t have a campus parking pass, but my friends who do only ever complain about it. They need to get to school 30 minutes before their class so they have time to find a parking spot. Chico State has eight total parking areas for students with a general parking permit. But is it enough and are students happy with the parking situation? According to them, no.
