A federal grand jury in the United States has found two Nigerian nationals guilty of internet fraud following a trial that lasted four days. According to a justice department announcement, Olutayo Sunday Ogunlaja, 39, and Abel Adeyi Daramola, 37, were convicted in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico in Albuquerque on Monday. The duo connived with other suspects to cheat a woman of up to $560,000 in a romance scam, officials said.

Uche Ifeanyi Henry, the director of the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Unit, has identified the failure of tech giants to share crucial information with law enforcement agencies as an obstacle to curbing cybercrimes. Mr Henry spoke at a workshop on improving women and children’s online safety. The event was organised by TechSocietal, a non-profit organisation, on Tuesday.
