1. IntroductionThe research and engineering community at large have been continuously iterating upon Large Language Models (LLMs) in order to make them more knowledgeable, general-purpose, and capable of fitting into increasingly complex workflows. Over the last few years, LLMs have progressed from text-only models to having multi-modal capabilities; now, we are increasingly seeing a progression toward LLMs as part of compound AI systems.
