It was all Kyle Larson in NASCAR after his last weekend’s display at Bristol. Despite missing his Triple Header by just a fraction, Larson made the headlines after his performances. The Hendrick Motorsports driver barely gave any other driver a chance at victory in his outings, especially on Saturday and Sunday. Behind a truck, despite his strong run, Larson eventually conceded the victory to Chandler Smith’s No. 38 Ford. As for his Xfinity race, he led 277 out of 300 laps and won in style.

Kyle Larson registered several records with his weekend win at Bristol. He demonstrated his typical Larson dominance and kept any other driver from stealing the win from him. Especially after his last week’s blunder at Darlington, Larson silenced all those who questioned him by leading 411 laps of the 500-lap race. While many said that Larson might not be the best driver after all, his No. 5 Camaro ZL1 told a different story in his most recent Cup Series appearance.

While it’s easy to overlook, many of the sport’s top performers have succeeded in part because of strong financial backing and consistent sponsorship. The reverse is true as well. Plenty of teams have been forced to shut down despite solid on-track results, simply because they couldn’t secure enough sponsorship. Running a fully functional NASCAR operation isn’t cheap.
