June 20, 2025 Let’s take a walk down the block. Today, we’re at the entrance to White Stadium, steps from Walnut Avenue in Jamaica Plain. Cars whiz by in the distance and airplanes fly overhead as birds chirp in the many surrounding trees. In the middle of them used to sit the white art deco structure, which was built in the 1940s. White Stadium once seated more than 10,000 people.

A familiar face has retaken the White House, promising to pursue America’s “manifest destiny” and restore the country back to its former glory. For some, that evokes a feeling of patriotism and nostalgia for the days of American exceptionalism. For those who have been the exception to those ideals, it is repudiating.

January 17, 2025 In a matter of days, a familiar face will retake the White House, marking the final blow to an historic candidate: Vice President Kamala Harris. While there will inevitably be a lot of pomp and circumstance surrounding the Capitol, I will be thinking about the time I spilled some tea with Harris, about a year and a half ago. My GBH News colleague Jim Braude and I were interviewing Harris for the 114th annual NAACP Convention in Boston.
