SEOUL, December 5 (AJP) - Unionized subway and railway workers went on an indefinite all-out strike on Thursday, demanding higher wages and better working conditions. Labor and management sides sat down for last-minute negotiations but were unable to narrow their differences before the pre-noticed deadline the previous day. But the unionized workers of the Korean Railway Workers' Union said they remain open to further talks to resolve the deadlock over labor negotiations.

SEOUL, December 3 (AJP) - After President Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law on Tuesday, the National Assembly, which has the right to lift martial law, was closed to lawmakers and staff as of 11:30 p.m. Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung condemned the declaration, calling it "unconstitutional and anti-people" in a late-night broadcast on his personal YouTube channel, Lee stated, "President Yoon has declared martial law without any legitimate cause.

SEOUL, November 27 (AJP) - A weeklong film festival featuring Indian films kicked off in western Seoul on Tuesday, featuring six acclaimed Hindi movies until this Saturday. The festival opened with "Lapataa Ladies," also known as "Lost Ladies," which has been selected for the country's official entry for the upcoming Academy Awards early next year.
