It is from the boat’s propeller, and it is creating a dangerous suction that brings people closer to the swirling blades. Boating experts stress these propeller strikes are preventable. The U.S. Coast Guard said in 2022 that 74% of deaths occurred when the boating operator did not receive safety instructions.

(InvestigateTV) — When we lose a loved one, part of the last chapter is knowing their body has found a final resting place. For some people, that final resting place never came. According to the Cremation Society of North America, it’s not unusual for some remains to go unclaimed. The group estimates that the ashes of 2 million people, otherwise known as cremains, sit unclaimed across the United States. A Salem, Oregon, hospital has thousands of such cremains in its care, some as old as 100 years.
