The ubiquitous internet browser, owned by US tech giant Alphabet, is the preferred platform for an estimated 65 per cent of the world’s web users – both on the computers or smartphones.     Passengers on a domestic flight have taken charge of a violent passenger in dramatic fashion, tacking him to the plane floor and strapping his limbs with duct tape. The incident aboard an American Airlines flight from Milwaukee to Dallas last week has sparked concerns about the alarming surge in bad plane passenger behaviour. The American Airlines drama began when the man apparently tried to open the emergency door midflight. He told cabin crew he needed “to exit the aircraft now”.

    P&O Cruises and its parent company Carnival Corporation are facing a first-of-its-kind class action lawsuit, which will allege that  passengers were subject to predatory lending and incentives to keep gambling. The class action lawsuit, organised by Carter Capner Law, alleges the cruise ship operator plied guests with alcohol, allowed them to gamble beyond their financial means, and illegally held them on board until they paid their debts.

    Consumer and privacy experts say retailers mulling in-store facial recognition technology should reconsider after Bunnings was caught breaching customer privacy. They also warned that more must be done to protect Australian shoppers. This week Carly Kind, the Privacy Commissioner at the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), found Bunnings had breached the Privacy Act by capturing the faces of every person who entered 63 stores in Victoria and NSW between November 2018 and 2021.
