REVIEW – Since my last review of a keyboard for The Gadgeteer (Royal Kludge S98), I have become quite a fan of the modern mechanical keyboard. I’m learning as much as I can about the different switch types, and what makes a mechanical keyboard good for me. Everyone has different preferences. The most significant requirement for me is the ability to switch from one device to another – QUICKLY. I use a PC for work, and a Mac personally.

REVIEW – As I get older, these old hands have started to develop a little arthritis and using hand tools have gotten a little more difficult and painful. Screwdrivers, one of the most basic of home hand tools, are especially more difficult. I have found myself reaching for a drill with a screwdriver bit attachment to get most jobs done pain free. However, using a drill like that can very easily strip or break the screw.

REVIEW – Have traditional tape measures run their course, and do they need improvement? Although I wasn’t entirely convinced, the folks at REEKON Tools have convinced me otherwise. I’ve been a semi-professional woodworker for quite a few years (making some side cash on woodworking makes me a semi-professional, right?) Anyway, every project I have worked on, from small to large, has required one consistent tool to be in my tool bag. The tried-and-true, retractable tape measure.

REVIEW – I’ve been able to review a few laser engravers/cutters for The Gadgeteer. I have come to enjoy the benefits of owning and using a laser engraver/cutter to make gifts, and projects for paying customers, and just using it as a hobbyist. Previous machines have been “open-framed” laser engravers. This means the smoke and fumes from the laser doing its thing are just released into my workshop.

REVIEW – Being empty nesters has greatly reduced the size of our meals. Firing up our big conventional oven seems like a waste of electricity, which of course means money. Since using the Midea Flexify French Door Air Fryer Oven for the last month or so, we have not used our big oven one time. Our 4-slice toaster has also been relegated to the soon-to-be garage sale pile. This Air Fryer Oven has transformed our cooking and baking lives.
