AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - An 84-year-old Virginia man was found dead after a boating accident in Augusta County Tuesday, according to the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office. The victim has been identified as John Joseph Lacy, Jr., 84, of Waynesboro. Deputies were called May 13, 2025, to reports that a man had gone underwater and not resurfaced off Mountain Side Lane in the Lyndhurst area of the county, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
