Double-majoring in International Business and Marketing, with minors in Spanish, Strategic Management, and Managing People in Organizations, Vasilopoulos boasts a lengthy resume—and he credits his family for motivating him to get involved and grow as a leader.

By Charly Haley and Pat Vasquez-Cunningham When Joel Livingood, ’12 BSB, graduated from the Carlson School, many of his classmates headed off to jobs at Fortune 500 companies. But Livingood pursued a different path—hospitality management—and he’s continued to grow his career in that direction ever since. Today, Livingood is the general manager and CEO of Interlachen Country Club in Edina, Minnesota.

By Charly Haley and Pat Vasquez-Cunningham For years, Aditya Prabhu and his family plucked Japanese beetles off of plants in their yard. They’d have to do this several times each summer to try to contain the invasive pest, which is known for destructively feeding on hundreds of different plants in the Twin Cities and beyond.

By Charly Haley and Pat Vasquez-Cunningham Keegan Masser likes to jokingly say he gets paid to “vandalize” other people’s property. The Carlson School senior, double-majoring in Accounting and Finance, runs his own business painting logos on people’s yards. “YardLogo is a service for grad parties where I will come to somebody’s house before the party and paint their college logo on their lawn,” Masser says.

By Charly Haley and Pat Vasquez-Cunningham For Emma Carpenter, ’24 MKTG, life at the Carlson School and on the UMN women’s golf team was about finding balance while working toward her goals. Carpenter recently graduated from the Master of Marketing program at the Carlson School, completing her fifth year at the University of Minnesota and her fourth year on the golf team.
