Longford Slashers . . . 5-12 Carrickedmond . . . 1-5Longford Slashers marched on to their 10th successive county final after a comprehensive victory over Carrickedmond at Michael Moran Park on Sunday. The hosts were in typical spirited fashion in the first half but they just could not stop the storming reigning champions on the changeover after leading by 2-5 to 1-4 at the break.

Abbeylara . . . 0-13 Dromard . . . 0-12 Abbeylara edged out Dromard in a tight tussle in the Senior Football Championship Round 3 clash with Fergal Battrim firing over a cracking long range winning point in stoppage time at Fr. McGee Park in Aughnacliffe last Sunday evening. These sides haven’t met since the 2021 championship having avoided each other in the past two championships but once again produced another entertaining encounter which showcased an excellent array of point taking.

Colmcille . . . 1-17 Kenagh . . . 2-6 After a shaky start, Colmcille eventually got the better of a determined Kenagh side in the Senior Football Championship Round 2 clash at Michael Moran Park last Friday evening. Kenagh once again got off to a blistering start as they did in the opening round to lead the 2022 champions by 5 points. Josh Kelly, a member of the county U-20 panel this year and only out of minor football, accounting for his side’s total of 1-3.
