    The 100 Mile House RCMP have arrested an individual suspected of causing a wildland fire behind 100 Mile Fire Rescue on Monday, May 5. Sgt. Trevor Medernach said that on May 5, one of his officers, who was about to go off duty, responded to a report of smoke behind the detachment. On investigation, Medernach said this officer discovered a fire in the initial stages of being started. "He ended up identifying a suspect. That suspect was arrested.
