Josh-J-Spiceworks (Josh J (Spiceworks)) May 5, 2025, 3:00pm 1 We’ve had a number of EDC threads over the years (Here are some example threads) but it’s been a few years since the last one. I know my EDC has changed A LOT recently. I used to have a mental checklist of everything I needed to grab before I left the house. Phone, wallet, keys, pen, badge, extra pen, tools…Since I’ve left IT, though, I’ve managed to condense everything down to just my phone.

justin-auvik (Justin O. (Auvik)) May 4, 2025, 7:27pm 1 Giveaway, you must enter! In a galaxy not so far away, a new bear awakens… Introducing Jedi Bear, the latest addition to our ever-growing Bear Council. Why? To celebrate Star Wars Day the Auvik way, we’re giving away this exclusive “These are not the nodes you’re looking for” tee.

Vaira (Vaira) May 3, 2025, 4:19pm 1 We have two UPS units and a PDU for each UPS. We encountered an issue with one UPS and noticed that a couple of devices were rebooted. These devices have dual PSUs, so I’m wondering why the second PSU didn’t switch over. Not all devices connected to the second UPS were rebooted. My thinking is that the second UPS PDU may have overloaded, causing a few devices to reboot, but this theory doesn’t explain why not all devices were affected.

Jonathan-Johnson (Jonathan Johnson) May 3, 2025, 5:42am 21 Right now, I’m migrating a customer from 2012R2 to 2025. In this case, I’m doing a domain migration (moving from one domain to another) which is basically what your AI response is suggesting. The main reason I’m doing a domain migration is to move away from using an unregisterable Active Directory DNS name with an invalid TLD to a subdomain of the customer’s registered domain.

peteschaub (PeteSchaub) May 2, 2025, 12:03am 1 We have a relatively small environment, with a mixture of Server 2016, 2019, and 2022. We use SCCM to deploy Microsoft updates. We have a single SCCM server, one domain, on boundary group, etc. All servers are (more or less) on the same subnet. The problem that we’re running into is that on our 3 Server 2022 endpoints, they are not installing any Windows updates.
