    Former distiller Lauren Wisherd opens Bonobos bakery in Waynesboro. Bonobos features cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, cookies, pies, and locally sourced ingredients. The bakery is open Thursday-Sunday and also sells goods at local farmers' markets. Lauren Wisherd has a background in fermentation and distillation, working as the master distiller at Silverback in Afton. She even has a master's degree in fermentation sciences, brewing, and distilling from Scotland's Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.

Trice is the third area superintendent to retire this year, following Augusta County's Eric Bond and Staunton's Garett Smith. The VSDB Board of Visitors is searching for an interim superintendent and will conduct a national search for a permanent replacement. Pat Trice is the third area school superintendent to announce plans to retire this year.
