With support from leading agriculture groups, the House-passed budget includes a $10 million higher-blend ethanol tax credit. Following years of stalled legislation and thwarted budget amendments, the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 budget (HB 96) as passed by the House creates the High Blend Ethanol Rebate Program administered by the Department of Agriculture. The pilot program would offer rebates of 5 cents per gallon for E15 sold by motor fuel retailers.
