    Two cigar makers working together is nothing new; in fact, it’s quite common. But bringing six cigar makers together for a new limited edition project is something else completely. As the story goes, Darren Ciofffi of Principle Cigars had an idea to bring five of the biggest names in the Dominican cigar industry together for a project. Except, Cioffi wouldn’t be working with any of them directly, nor would the five cigar makers work with each other.

    The Artista Colorado, which the company showed off at the 2025 PCA Convention & Trade Show, is on its way to retailers this week. The line uses an Ecuadorian corojo wrapper, an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and an undisclosed filler that the company says comes from all over the world.

    The E.P. Carrillo Connecticut, the newest installment in Casa Carrillo’s E.P. Carrillo Essence Series, is on its way to stores today. The line uses an Ecuadorian-grown, Connecticut-seed wrapper, while the binder is a Honduran-grown criollo 98 leaf, and the filler comes from Honduras and the Dominican Republic.
