Deputies of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, assigned to the north-county patrol office in Drain, spent the past week investigating reports of trafficking in stolen vehicles on property in the Oakland area of Lower Crest Road. Sheriff’s deputies made multiple examinations of the property between Jan. 13 and 20 finding evidence of several vehicles being disassembled and eventually identifying and seizing stripped vehicles that had previously been reported as stolen.
