Devices and procedureThe B-SAFER procedure is typically performed in 1 of 4 general iterations. The configurations used are shown in Figure 2. In the single anastomosis, single stent arch repair technique (SASS B-SAFER; n = 70), all the arch branches are contained within the native arch, and the surgical graft component is sutured to the composite of arch tissue and stentgraft device with a single stent placed into the most distal branch, typically the left subclavian artery.
