For the second year in a row, Hellcat Hemi-powered Dodge muscle cars dominated the TX2K Heavyweight class and for the second year in a row, the Challengers and Chargers leading the way were all built by Baily’s Hyperformance. Chris Baily, who runs Baily’s Hyperformance and who campaigns the world’s quickest 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, was the top qualifier in the 2025 TX2K Heavyweight class while Casey Hoong and his Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat qualified in the second spot.

The Ram Trucks brand, led by Tim Kuniskis, is planning to release a ton of news over the next 18 months and today, the latest bit of news is the 2026 Ram 1500 Express. The Express trim level is a “budget model” that effectively fills the hole created by the discontinuation of the Ram 1500 Classic, positioned between the work-focused Tradesman and the popular Big Horn in the half-ton lineup.

April 26 was “HEMI Day”, playing on the 426 cubic inch measurement of the most famous Mopar engine; and to celebrate the day, Dodge Direct Connection introduced a new security system for the 2018 through 2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger. The system is called the Start Defender theft-deterrent system, and it prevents the vehicle from starting without the driver entering a secret code.
