Europe can secure enough liquefied natural gas to refill storage for next winter at current prices, but the region faces competition for supply should prices fall further, according to Goldman Sachs Group Inc. “We think that prices have to stay at current levels, or slightly above, in order to kill LNG demand outside of Europe,” Samantha Dart, the co-head of global commodities research, said on Bloomberg television.

The biggest supplier of liquefied natural gas in the United Arab Emirates sees strong demand for the fuel through the rest of the decade just as it boosts supply. Adnoc Gas Plc, a unit of Abu Dhabi National Oil Co., raised its capital expenditure plan to about $15 billion over the next five years from about $13 billion earlier, according to a statement Monday. It’s expanding processing capacity at home by taking control of a coastal LNG plant from its parent company once construction is completed.

Blackstone Inc., one of the largest asset managers in the world, sees Asia as a “growth engine,” according to Amit Dixit, the firm’s head of private equity for the region. “We see a lot of bright spots,” Dixit said in an interview with Bloomberg Television, adding the firm has been active in India, Japan, Australia and Southeast Asia. “We have deep local teams in each market.” The interest rate easing in the US is also helping the business globally, he said.

Air New Zealand Ltd. Chief Executive Officer Greg Foran said the engine problems that have grounded a significant number of the airline’s jets will hamper operations for another two years. Four of Air New Zealand’s 14 Boeing Co. 787s currently can’t fly because engines from Rolls-Royce Holdings Plc aren’t available, Foran said in a Bloomberg Television interview Thursday.
