Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited, which operates as APM Terminals Pipavav, has reported container throughput of 177,000 TEU for its Q3 FY 2025 (Oct-Dec 2024). This is a decline of 12.8% on the 203,000 TEU handled in Q3 FY 2024.

The Port of New Orleans has received a US$1m grant for a Sustainability Management Plan (SMP) for its Louisiana International Terminal. Funding will focus on training for employment opportunities. Louisiana International Terminal (LIT) is a new 2m TEU facility planned for Violet, Louisiana, 17 miles down the Mississippi River from the Crescent City Connection bridge that presents an air draft restriction to vessels that call Port of New Orleans’ (POLA) existing container terminal.

DP World Marine Services has welcomed the “remarkable growth” of Unifeeder in the intra-Mediterranean trade in 2024, where it tippled its market share to 4.3%. Feeder services in the Mediterranean have benefited from vessel diversions due to the Red Sea crisis.
