Germany’s Hamburg Messe und Congress (HMC) has reported that its fiscal year 2024 surpassed all expectations. Uwe Fischer and Heiko M. Stutzinger, the CEO team in charge since January 2024, have reviewed outcomes from their first joint year, including a turnover of €140.2m, and a sales performance that exceeded the previous record figure from 2016 by 25.5%. Net profit for 2024 was posted at € 209m.

The Polish Baltic city of Szczecin has joined the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), becoming the 19th Polish member of this global association network which brings together over 1,100 members from nearly 100 countries. The move follows on the city joining the GDS-Index in March, and the new ICCA membership is expected to open new opportunities for the city to promote itself as an attractive destination for hosting international business events, congresses and conferences.

Many of Europe’s most outstanding real estate deals of the year will be showcased in Barcelona on 1 October by The World-Class District Awards 2025. The event recognises exemplary projects by funds, investors, and destinations and the awards ceremony will be held within The District, the largest real estate event in Europe from a capital perspective, which brings together over 14,000 executives 30 September to 2 October in the Spanish city.

Global PCO, Arinex has been appointed to organise the 5th World Indigenous Suicide Prevention Conference (WISPC) 2026 when the event returns to Aotearoa New Zealand. The conference will take place in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton), 17–19 September, and is expected to attract up to 750 Indigenous leaders, health professionals and community advocates from around the world, united in a mission to share culturally grounded strategies for suicide prevention.
