Jamaica's court of appeals ordered for dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel to be released from prison after serving 13 years of a life sentence on murder charges. Clive 'Lizard' Williams was murdered in 2011, police said his death was the result of a dispute with Kartel, 48, and associates over missing guns. His body was never found. Investigators believe he was beaten to death inside of his home on outskirts of Kingston.

Canadian cops raided a hotel room this week to arrest a father and son who were in just hours away from carrying out a mass casualty event. The duo had gone so far as to record a video showing them brandishing their weapons in front of an ISIS flag while explaining their intended actions. The family members were named as Canadian citizens Ahmed Fouad Mostafa Eldidi, 62, Mostafa Eldidi, 26, were allegedly armed with an axe and a machete in the video. They were arrested on July 25.

A black man from Missouri tasted freedom for the first time in 34 years as he walked free from a courthouse Tuesday night after his murder conviction was overturned. Christopher Dunn was reunited on the St. Louis courthouse steps with his wife, Kira. 'I never gave up because my family never gave up. It's easy to give up in prison when you lose hope. But when the system throws you away, you have to ask yourself if you wanted to just settle for it or fight for it,' Dunn told a gathered crowd.
