    GUILFORD COUNTY — The Guilford County Board of Commissioners as expected enacted a 2025-26 fiscal year budget Wednesday night that doesn’t involve a property tax increase but was passed on a party-line vote. Last-moment changes by the commissioners boosted Guilford County Schools. The board allocated $282.5 million for operating expenses, an increase of $12.3 million compared to the $2.5 million increase recommended in the initial proposed budget.
