The playmaker from Carver (Ala.) High School initially committed to South Florida last weekend on an official visit. But after his official visit to Mississippi State this weekend, Crumpton switched his commitment to the Bulldogs.

Mississippi State welcomed numerous Magnolia State recruits to campus this weekend and several made their Bulldog commitments. That included 2026 linebacker Caleb Triplett, who was one of the most in-state offers given by the Bulldogs’ staff. Last month saw Theodore (Ala.) High School’s Davon Young collect a Mississippi State offer and he followed up that offer with a good camp showing with the Bulldogs earlier this month. This weekend the 2026 defensive lineman officially visited Mississippi State and on Sunday, announced his commitment to head coach Jeff Lebby’s class. “I was excited to commit,” Young recalled. “It really felt like home there and it is a family-oriented program.

With each visit to Starkville, Canton High School’s Jayden Cration felt like part of Mississippi State’s program. On Sunday, the 2026 receiver and On3 three-star prospect announced his Bulldog commitment following his official visit. Cration also holds other Power 4 offers from Ole Miss, LSU, West Virginia and Houston among others. He is rated as the nation’s No. 60 receiver and the state’s No. 14 prospect by On3 rankings. “It was about family,” Cration explained.

Over a year ago Mississippi State extended an offer to 2026 tight end/receiver prospect Zayion Cotton and it was the first offer for the On3 three-star prospect. That feeling stayed with the Grenada High School and led to Cotton committing to the Bulldogs on Sunday. Cotton was one of several instate targets officially visiting Mississippi State this weekend and he exited campus as the Bulldogs’ latest commitment.
