brsnrtttnBy Paul Lagan at Gtech Community StadiumBrentford 0 v Chelsea 017, 183Neither side deserved to lose, and they didn't – a 0-0 at the Gtech Stadium just about summed up a game, that promised to be a football match, but instead became more like a pre-season friendly. Make no mistake, both sides wanted to win, but it just wasn't in their legs to make it happen. Chelsea fans were unhappy with their players first-half performance which was bereft of serious attacking intent.

By Paul Lagan at Stamford BridgeChelsea 1 v Spurs 038,825Not quite the Battle of the Bridge of past encounters but any decent result against Spurs will do, and Enzo's second half header was more that sufficient to see off a hard-working but strangely underwhelming north London side. Chelsea reverted to their passionate attack-first philosophy of the early season, which brought them victories that saw them become title contenders.

By Paul Lagan at Kingsmeadow StadiumChelsea 2 v West Ham United 2Chelsea blew a two-goal lead and perhaps blew open the title race as West Ham pegged the champions back to a 2-2 draw at Kingsmeadow. The Blues were a seemingly unstoppable force in the opening phases of the first half and raced into the two goal-lead through Maika Hamano and Aggie Beever-Jones. Had they scored four more, no one could have complained, and perhaps they should.
