    Telefónica has reportedly hired Citi as an adviser to sell its Chilean business unit. As reported by El Confidencial earlier this week, Telefónica CEO Marc Murtra has commissioned the sale, which could bring in €1 billion ($1.12bn).     Nokia has been selected by American Tower-owned CoreSite to provide IP routing-based Edge and core network solutions for CoreSite's US data centers. In total, Nokia will provide routing services across 30 CoreSite data centers in 11 US states. It represents another data center contract win for Nokia, which continues its push to pursue data center opportunities. CoreSite operates 30 facilities across 11 US markets.

In the announcement, Virgin Media O2 Business said the merger will "create a major new force in the UK business communications and IT sector."Daisy Group is one of the UK's biggest providers of IT, communications, and cloud services to business customers.

    Australian mobile carrier Optus has paired with network vendor Nokia to give regional areas of the country a 5G upgrade. Optus will deploy Nokia's Habrok Massive MIMO radios and Levante baseband solutions as part of the partnership. Both products are part of Nokia's AirScale offering. The upgrades to Optus' network are part of the company's Multi-Operator Core Network (MOCN) RAN-sharing agreement made with TPG Telecom last year.

    UK network operator O2 has completed 5G upgrades at Wembley Stadium. The carrier has deployed its 5G Standalone (5G SA) network at the stadium, which will host this weekend's FA Cup Final. O2 claims that 90,000 match-goers will be able to stream, share, and connect in real-time during Saturday's game between Crystal Palace and Manchester City. The operator has also installed seven new small cells outside of the stadium and has upgraded two cell towers in the area.
